Job Description
The Web SEO Specialist at Alarm.com is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive search strategies, managing website content in a CMS, and analyzing performance data to drive organic growth and stay ahead of evolving search technologies, including AI and LLMs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive search strategies for organic growth across traditional and AI-driven search platforms.
- Advise on technical SEO best practices, including site architecture, schema markup, and content structure to optimize for featured snippets and AI answers.
- Conduct keyword and prompt research, create content briefs, manage on-page and off-page SEO initiatives, and perform technical website audits.
- Monitor and analyze trends in AI search, LLM updates, and search algorithms to inform proactive SEO strategies.
- Manage website content updates, page creation, and content management within the CMS platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and optimize web content for marketing initiatives and user engagement.
- Design, launch, and analyze A/B tests on web pages to improve user experience and conversion rates.
- Oversee the web content lifecycle from planning and creation to publishing and performance monitoring.
- Track, analyze, and report on SEO and content performance metrics using analytics tools, and develop insights to guide strategy.
Requirements
- Three years of proven experience in a role focused on SEO, content strategy, and website management.
- Deep, hands-on expertise with core SEO and analytics tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics 4, and Google Search Console.
- Demonstrated understanding of modern search, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Search Generative Experiences (SGE), and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), with the ability to speak fluently about how search is evolving.
- Proven experience managing website content in a modern Content Management System (CMS).
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
