Job Description
A Software Engineer II at OpenEye is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Apex Server application, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring software quality through testing and code reviews in a dynamic, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Apex Server application, including feature additions, modifications, bug fixes, and unit tests.
- Collaborate with team members, product owners, and departments to gather requirements and deliver software that meets customer needs.
- Review code written by others to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
- Assist other developers with questions related to processes, coding practices, algorithms, and troubleshooting support issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2-5 years related experience and/or training
- Expertise in the C, Java, and JavaScript development languages along with a solid understanding of development practices
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and development practices
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and practices
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong quality ethic and test-first attitude
- Great communication and teamwork skills

Compensation/salary range: $90,000 - $125,000 USD
