Job Description
A versatile Staff Software Engineer role focused on developing and mentoring in smart home technology, IoT devices, and large-scale data processing across multiple platforms, with responsibilities from design to deployment and a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop projects across various technology domains from design to deployment
- Mentor and collaborate with junior engineers
- Research, evaluate, and apply new technologies and methodologies to solve complex problems
- Develop full-stack software for multiple platforms and technologies
- Engage in the entire project lifecycle, including requirements development and deployment
- Exercise good judgment to balance quick development and robust solutions
- Consider multiple use cases and business needs when developing solutions
- Contribute ideas to product development and innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8 years of professional software development experience
- Experience leading and/or mentoring other engineers
- Expert object-oriented programming skills
- Significant database design and development experience
- Knowledge of networking concepts, principles, and technologies
- Experience working with hardware and device development (considered a major plus)
