Job Description
The Software Engineering Summer Intern at Alarm.com will gain hands-on experience working on a variety of IoT technologies, including home automation, video analysis, and web applications, by analyzing requirements, researching new technologies, developing code, and collaborating with teams to deliver innovative consumer products.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze functional requirements and product specifications
- Research, adopt, and integrate new technologies
- Innovate and improve existing products
- Write organized, coherent code
- Take ownership of projects to ensure timely completion
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop test plans for deployments
Requirements
- Must be currently pursuing a B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering program with strong academic performance
- Must be a self-starter, analytical, and a tenacious problem solver
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have rigorous attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables
- Must have proven team experience and comfort in a team-oriented environment
- Must have a passion for working with technology and excitement for creating high quality consumer technology products
