Job Description
A Software Engineer at Alarm.com will design, develop, and test software features for security and IoT solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate and improve existing systems across full-stack, hardware, and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test new software features
- Innovate and improve existing software solutions
- Analyze functional requirements and product specifications
- Research, adopt, and integrate new technologies
- Take ownership of projects to ensure timely completion
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop test plans
- Work with cross-functional teams including product management, UX/UI, and hardware engineers
- Develop with automated tools using LLMs and AI
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with object-oriented programming in C preferred.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks Ember.js, Angular, or React is a plus.
- Understanding of databases and SQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for technology and security solutions.

Base salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 USD
