Job Description

A Product Manager III responsible for leading the development and management of partner tools and services within a smart home platform, collaborating with engineering and stakeholders to drive product lifecycle, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the entire product development life cycle, including writing specifications, testing features, managing beta programs, and developing marketing materials and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with product designers and software engineers to make strategic and tactical decisions about product functionality.
  • Engage with customers and partners to understand their needs, workflows, and pain points, and translate these into detailed product requirements.
  • Act as the product champion to internal sales, marketing, and support teams.
  • Work with engineering, support, sales, and partners to troubleshoot and resolve escalated product issues.
  • Prioritize and recommend improvements to existing products based on stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree is required.
  • 5-8 years of experience in product, project, or program management with a track record for managing and launching successful products.
  • Deeply curious and understand the importance of why before you get into the what.
  • Brings an open mindset toward AI and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and apply them as part of the company's focus on innovation.
  • Strong ability to process and synthesize information, quickly build domain knowledge, draw logical conclusions, and frame decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work across, up, and down the work organization.
  • Genuine self-starter who proactively identifies challenges and opportunities and works across the team to generate and implement solutions.
  • A great collaborator who knows that to deliver anything of value is a team effort and likes to dig in with engineers to find the best solution to a problem.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, agile-driven engineering team, based on mutual trust and credibility.
  • Experience with Atlassian Product Suite JIRA, Confluence, etc.
