Job Description
A Product Manager II at Alarm.com is responsible for overseeing the development and lifecycle of innovative security and IoT products, collaborating across engineering, marketing, and external partners to deliver solutions that enhance customer experience and meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Become the product expert and liaison for your area of expertise
- Own the end-to-end experience for a product and its features
- Communicate with departments to assess goals, priorities, and strategy
- Drive the product development lifecycle, including writing specifications, testing features, and managing beta programs
- Develop and maintain relationships with technology partners, vendors, and customers
- Work with engineering to facilitate product feature development
- Ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
- Manage the go-to-market strategy for new products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver product presentations
- Conduct market research and gather customer feedback
- Champion enhancements to existing products
Requirements
- Minimum B.S. or B.A. degree from a competitive school with strong academic performance. Technical degree is a plus.
- 1-3 years of work experience in technology, product management, project management, or related fields.
- Experience with hardware products is strongly desired.
- Highly motivated, resourceful, self-starter with ability to deliver results.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to synthesize research to drive product strategy and decision making.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for consumer technology and interest in developing a deep understanding of complex products and technologies.
- Strong computer skills, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
