Job Description
A DevOps Engineer responsible for designing and developing automated infrastructure solutions across multiple cloud platforms, managing containerization and orchestration, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop tools and frameworks for continuous integration and automated infrastructure management across cloud layers.
- Write high-quality, structured code to support DevOps automation tasks.
- Collaborate with Operations, Software Engineering, and Quality Engineering to improve efficiency and monitor system health.
- Develop solutions to enhance the reliability, performance, and predictability of cloud operations.
- Evaluate, architect, implement, and migrate workloads to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Build, manage, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot issues and participate in on-call support to ensure system stability and performance.
- Provide technical guidance on best practices for deploying software in the cloud.
Requirements
- A B.A. or B.S. or higher level degree in Computer Science or a similar engineering program with strong academic performance preferred.
- 2-3 years of related DevOps experience.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms and virtualization technologies including VMware, Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Experience with Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible AWX, Puppet, Terraform, Pulumi.
- Experience with Windows or Linux environments, including RedHat, Ubuntu, and Windows Server.
- Experience with containerization concepts and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), AKS, Rancher.
- Familiarity with Server Monitoring and Application Performance Monitoring solutions such as PagerDuty, Wavefront, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and Sumo Logic.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks and CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Atlassian, GIT, and ArgoCD.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and individually within a team environment.
- Self-directed approach with a high degree of initiative to investigate and resolve issues.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties as part of the role.
