Job Description
The Cloud Monitoring Associate is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health, security, and availability of Alarm.com's network operations, handling incidents, supporting system upgrades, and assisting with physical security and device testing in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor alerts to ensure 24/7 network, web, software, and security operations
- Manage and respond to service impacting events and incidents
- Triage, escalate, and resolve technical issues and trouble calls
- Coordinate and maintain major incident communication and reporting
- Assist with system upgrades, maintenance, and physical security monitoring
- Create, update, and resolve tickets in the ticketing system
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School diploma coupled with 2 years related experience OR an Associate's degree coupled with 1 year related experience OR a Bachelor's degree coupled with 0 years experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Process-oriented with ability to pay close attention to details.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to operate under minimal supervision.
- Basic Computer Knowledge including Networking and Cyber Security.
- Willingness to learn new skills and tools.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Salesforce, PagerDuty, Microsoft Office Suite (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ability and eagerness to work with innovative electronic devices, including disassembling, reassembling, rewiring, and testing various security-related devices (training will be provided).
