Job Description
The Director, Finance IT is responsible for overseeing the implementation, management, and strategic development of financial systems and applications, including ERP, procurement, expense management, and tax systems, to support the company's finance transformation and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the architecture, implementation, integration, and governance of financial systems supporting accounting, FP A, procurement, supply chain, and tax functions.
- Lead the full lifecycle management of third-party financial systems, including requirements, implementation, upgrades, and decommissioning.
- Manage ERP financial applications, including migration, configuration, security, and supporting modules such as GL, AP, AR, and financial consolidation.
- Own procurement and P2P platforms, ensuring seamless workflows, vendor management, and system enhancements.
- Oversee enterprise expense management systems, driving user adoption and policy compliance.
- Manage integrations and data flows for tax engines, supply chain tools, and other financial subsystems.
- Architect and oversee robust API integrations and data pipelines to ensure data integrity and synchronization across systems.
- Lead complex cross-functional projects for system implementations and upgrades, including stakeholder alignment and budget management.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems, user onboarding, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Champion the adoption of AI-driven automation across finance IT platforms to improve efficiency and support transformational change.
Requirements
- 15 years of experience in IT, Business Systems, Financial Systems, or Enterprise Applications.
- Deep expertise implementing, managing, and optimizing ERP systems, preferably cloud-based platforms, and demonstrated success migrating from legacy platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Finance, Accounting, and FP A processes, including GL, AP AR, close, budgeting, forecasting, procurement, revenue management, and audit.
- Strong experience with P2P systems such as Coupa and expense management systems like Expensify or Concur.
- Demonstrated understanding of supply chain workflows, vendor management, inventory, and tax systems.
- Advanced understanding of API integrations, middleware, ETL, and data architecture.
- Proven track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programs in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial controls, compliance, and data governance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with executives, Finance leaders, and technical teams.
- Experience managing and developing technical teams and system administrators.
- Experience with AI and ML adoption in IT operations, such as AI-driven service management, automation, and copilots.
