Job Description
The Strategic Sourcing Manager at AIRCO is responsible for developing and managing the supply chain for fuel production systems, including sourcing process equipment, electrical components, and balancing-of-plant, to support scalable and efficient production in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own the sourcing strategy for process equipment modules, BOP, and electrical components.
- Build and manage a scalable supply base to meet changing demand.
- Identify, qualify, and negotiate with vendors.
- Drive cost reduction while ensuring quality, delivery, and technical requirements.
- Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics such as cost, quality, and delivery.
- Translate technical requirements into supplier specifications and RFQs in collaboration with engineering.
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers with support from legal and finance teams.
- Maintain a multi-vendor supply base to mitigate single-supplier risk.
- Develop and manage materials planning, including MRP, safety stock, and lead-time planning.
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, and program management on demand and build plans.
- Resolve supply chain and supplier issues efficiently and systematically.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, or supply base management, ideally for process equipment, skids, or complex industrial systems.
- Proven experience building or scaling a multi-vendor supply base.
- Strong background in sourcing on cost, quality, delivery, and risk, with a total cost of ownership mindset.
- Hands-on materials planning experience including MRP, demand supply matching, and inventory management.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications and work effectively with engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
