Job Description

The role involves managing accounts payable, supporting procurement and logistics, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely payments, order fulfillment, and process improvements within a high-growth sustainable technology company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounts payable process to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Expedite orders, monitor purchasing needs, and communicate delays or issues
  • Execute RFPs for new products and services, supporting contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with Finance on FP&A and month-end close activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external vendors
  • Coordinate with vendors and logistics partners to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Assist in process improvements related to procurement and accounts payable
  • Evaluate supplier performance and assess associated risks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years experience in direct materials purchasing and indirect purchasing in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with financial operations platforms such as Ramp or other industry-leading P2P systems
  • Ability to manage the accounts payable process to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Ability to expedite orders, manage status of purchasing needs, and communicate delays or issues to Procurement Manager as required
  • Ability to execute RFPs for new products and services, contribute to contract negotiations, and ensure project timelines are met
  • Ability to work closely with members of the Finance team on FP&A and month-end close as required
  • Ability to establish and build strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to liaise with assigned vendors to ensure accurate communication of product specs and requirements
  • Ability to ensure on-time deliveries by communicating regularly with suppliers and logistics partners
  • Ability to evaluate supplier performance and risk on a regular basis
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to execute daily tasks quickly and error-free
  • Interest in sustainability, technology, science, and start-up environments
  • Proven ability to work with others, strong interpersonal skills, influencing leadership skills, and positive communication
  • Access to technology, software, and other information subject to governmental access control restrictions, and ability to obtain and maintain appropriate government authorization such as security clearance or export license
