Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Operations at AIRCO is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations, ensuring safety and efficiency, developing performance goals, and leading initiatives to improve safety, quality, and productivity across facilities in New Britain, PA, and Brooklyn, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align operational strategies with business objectives to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Establish and track performance goals for teams and individuals.
  • Develop and implement programs, policies, and procedures to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational effectiveness of facilities.
  • Provide strategic leadership to foster cross-functional problem solving and support company goals.
  • Develop and monitor operational KPIs to ensure project progress and efficiency.
  • Collaborate on budget development and ensure adherence to financial plans.
  • Build and develop a high-performing operations team with the right talent in key roles.
  • Lead initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency for long-term performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required in an engineering, operations, or manufacturing-adjacent field; an advanced degree, MBA, or similar is preferred.
  • 15 years of experience in chemical or manufacturing plant operations, maintenance, renovation, and related activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the maintenance of systems in an industrial environment and knowledge of advanced operating principles as they relate to the chemical, oil, and gas environment.
  • Motivated to build, mentor, and develop a team with at least 10 years of experience managing direct reports.
  • Demonstrated experience developing operational standards, policies, and practices that contribute to organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and relationship-building skills at all levels within an organization.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations as they relate to plant operations within New Jersey and New York.
  • High flexibility with the ability to adapt and grow in a startup environment.
  • Patience and diplomacy skills are critical to success.
