Job Description
The Director of Operations at AIRCO will oversee manufacturing and operational strategies, ensuring safety, efficiency, and team development across facilities, with a focus on aligning operations with company goals in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Align operational strategies with business objectives to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Establish and track performance goals for teams and individuals.
- Develop and implement programs, policies, and procedures to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational effectiveness of facilities.
- Provide strategic leadership to foster cross-functional problem solving and support company goals.
- Develop and monitor operational KPIs to ensure project progress and efficiency.
- Collaborate on budget development and ensure adherence to financial plans.
- Build and develop a high-performing operations team with the right talent in key roles.
- Lead initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency for sustainable performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required in an engineering, operations, or manufacturing-adjacent field; an advanced degree, MBA, or similar is preferred.
- 15 years of experience in chemical or manufacturing plant operations, maintenance, renovation, and related activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the maintenance of systems in an industrial environment and knowledge of advanced operating principles as they relate to the chemical, oil, and gas environment.
- Motivated to build, mentor, and develop a team with at least 10 years of experience managing direct reports.
- Demonstrated experience developing operational standards, policies, and practices which contribute to organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Demonstrated effective communication and relationship-building skills at all levels within an organization.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations as they relate to plant operations within New Jersey and New York.
- High flexibility with the ability to adapt and grow in a startup environment.
- Patience and diplomacy skills are critical to success.
