Aeva is seeking a senior Staff Optical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced optical components and systems for their innovative LiDAR technology, supporting autonomous and perception applications across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and validation of advanced optical sub-components and systems for LiDAR technology
- Set technical direction for optical engineering projects
- Mentor junior optical engineers
- Influence architectural decisions across multiple programs
Requirements
- Experience in designing, developing, and validating advanced optical sub-components and systems, specifically related to LiDAR technology.
- Proven ability to lead the design, development, and validation of optical systems that form the core of coherent LiDAR technology.
- Ability to set technical direction for optical engineering projects within a team or organization.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers in optical engineering or related fields.
- Influence architectural decisions across multiple programs related to optical systems and LiDAR technology.
