Job Description
A senior optical module test development engineer responsible for developing and improving testing processes for advanced LiDAR sensors used in autonomous systems and robotics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement testing procedures for optical modules
- Design and optimize test setups and fixtures for optical modules
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve optical module performance and reliability
Requirements
- Experience in optical module test development, including designing, implementing, and maintaining test procedures for optical modules.
- Proficiency in developing and executing test plans and test scripts for optical components and modules.
- Knowledge of optical testing equipment and measurement techniques relevant to LiDAR or similar optical modules.
- Experience with automation of optical testing processes using relevant software or scripting languages.
- Understanding of optical component specifications, performance parameters, and failure modes.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in optical modules during testing and development phases.
- Educational background in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, or a related technical field.
- Experience working in a test engineering environment for at least 3 years.
- Physical ability to handle and assemble optical components and modules as part of testing procedures.
- Strong documentation skills to record test results, procedures, and issues accurately.
