The Investment Manager will evaluate and execute investment opportunities in the impact sector, manage portfolio companies, and support their growth and exits, with a focus on creating social and financial value in underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate new investment opportunities and conduct due diligence
Structure deal terms and negotiate investment conditions
Manage and monitor existing portfolio companies post-investment
Lead exit strategies for portfolio companies
Identify and review pipeline of impact investment opportunities in the climate sector
Prepare investment documentation for approval committees
Build networks of impact funders and investors to support portfolio companies
Support portfolio companies in governance, finance, and leadership
Generate and document insights on portfolio performance for future reference
Requirements
At least 8 years of overall work experience, with a minimum of 4 years of investment experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or investment management
Experience with financial and operational due diligence of early-stage businesses
Superior financial modeling and business analysis skills demonstrated by prior experience
Familiarity with the social enterprise and impact investing sectors, demonstrating a commitment to serving the poor (preferred)
Solid operational skills including problem solving and project management skills, including ability to work and deliver projects independently, proactively, and under pressure
MBA degree (preferred)
Authorization to work in India on a permanent basis
