Job Description
A Senior Project Manager at 1st Avenue Power oversees the full lifecycle of utility-scale solar projects, coordinating internal teams, external partners, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality project execution from development through operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage utility-scale solar projects from development through construction and delivery, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and authorities to secure permits and ensure compliance with local requirements.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and progress reports, and manage relationships with EPCs, O&M contractors, and contract manufacturers.
- Lead bidding, contract compliance, change orders, and risk management for EPC partners.
- Travel to project sites to meet with contractors, consultants, and partners to facilitate project progress.
Requirements
- 6 - 8 years managing utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects with a deep understanding of the solar development lifecycle through construction
- Strong ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience navigating AHJ permitting and entitlements, and strong understanding of solar construction processes and EPC contracts
- Ability to communicate among construction, technical, and non-technical personnel
- Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in project management tools such as SmartSheet
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed to project sites, approximately 5-15% of the time
- Minimum salary of $130,000 and maximum salary of $195,000, with equity benefits (note: this is a compensation range, not a requirement)
