Job Description
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and performing various maintenance tasks in the facility, including preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings and equipment. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently under the supervision of the Maintenance Facility Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- •Perform facility duties to ensure functional performance, appearance, and safe conditions.
- •Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance activities based on specifications, drawings, and manuals.
- •Repair, maintain, lubricate, install, and replace plant equipment as assigned.
- •Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, machinery, and overall facility.
- •Prepare, record, and maintain maintenance records associated with equipment procedures manuals.
- •Drive CRT vehicles to drop off or pick up supplies and materials.
- •Identify plant deficiencies and unacceptable conditions.
- •Work independently and follow all required procedures and processes.
Requirements
- •High school diploma is required.
- •Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- •Must be able to read and follow written work instructions and work with minimal supervision.
- •Ability to operate a tow motor is required.
- •Valid driver's license and a clear driving record for the past 3 years is required. Employee will be required to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record Check upon offer of employment and annually thereafter. An unacceptable record includes a DUI, Reckless Operations and or Fleeing the Scene of an Accident.
- •Must maintain a positive, cooperative attitude and be able to work with other employees as a member of an organizational team.
- •Must be able to move parts weighing up to 50 pounds using hoists, slings, carts, or other handling methods.
- •Must be able to work in varying positions from time to time, including standing and/or sitting for portions of the shift.
- •Must follow all safety and environmental rules that apply.
- •Use of safety and personal protective equipment is mandatory under some conditions.
