Job Description

The Account Executive at Alarm.com is responsible for driving revenue and managing relationships with regional dealers in the Southern Coastal region, focusing on increasing sales and productivity of Alarm.com products through training and support. This role requires significant travel and a strong background in outside sales and account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop assigned dealer accounts to increase productivity and sales of Alarm.com products
  • Develop relationships with key individuals inside account base and resolve obstacles to dealer success
  • Initiate and execute on-site dealer product training activities
  • Develop relationships with industry partners to influence dealer sales activity
  • Collaborate with the Director of Dealer Operations and Vice President of Sales to identify target dealers
  • Foster positive relationships with dealers and communicate vital information to management
  • Provide weekly account and sales activity reports
  • Attend industry association meetings and trade shows as necessary
  • Interface with various departments including Dealer Operations Support and Sales Support Training
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior sales staff and inside sales team

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in outside sales.
  • Experience in the security industry.
  • Successful history of client and account management, business development, and/or client training.
  • Proven history of increasing revenue, closing accounts, and successfully growing accounts.
  • Ability to meet heavy travel demands; approximate travel is 70%.
  • Ability to manage a large set of accounts and prioritize activities for highest impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including client presentation and training delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for providing the highest-quality customer service.
  • Ability to sell concepts and value-added services.
  • Strong technical and computer skills and aptitude.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a small, fast-paced environment.
