Job Description
The role involves leading the Science and Technology market within CannonDesign's Chicago office, focusing on business development, client engagement, and team leadership to drive market growth and financial performance while promoting Living-Centered Design.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead high-performance diverse teams focused on the Market Business Plan.
- Drive business development and client engagement to achieve top line targets.
- Lead client relationships on billable project-specific work.
- Act as a leading voice for the market in external and internal promotions.
- Advance strategic initiatives and client pursuit discussions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships.
- Achieve top line success of 3.0M per year in net signed fees.
- Mentor and recruit staff to build a high-performance team.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement business plan bottom line initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
- Must have 12 years minimum experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Science and Technology Market.
- Strong presentation skills are essential.
- Exceptional client and people leadership skills required.
- Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully is essential.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy is needed.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
- Some travel required.

Compensation/salary range: 117,000.00 to 146,300.00 annually
