Job Description
The Senior Project Manager at Cypress Creek Renewables is responsible for overseeing utility-scale solar and BESS projects from late-stage development through commercial operation, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and budgetary goals while managing third-party EPC contractors.
Responsibilities
- •Manage projects from late-stage development and financial close through commercial operation.
- •Ensure EPCM KPIs are exceeded in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Improvement.
- •Support constructability review for development projects.
- •Oversee all EPC activities during the construction phase.
- •Support closeout to final acceptance.
- •Track deliverables, schedules, cashflow, and manage change orders.
- •Identify risks to project success and establish mitigation plans.
- •Ensure internal and external teams satisfy closeout of zoning, construction, and financial conditions.
- •Organize and maintain regularly scheduled project meetings and delegate tasks.
- •Present and report to management on cash flow, schedule, and risks.
- •Review accurate input to financial models and close out financing milestones.
- •Understand compliance requirements of project contracts.
- •Maintain positive relationships with landowners, AHJs, and utilities during construction.
- •Work with procurement leads to ensure timing and costs are accurately reflected in schedules.
- •Manage deliverables from the Owner's Engineer.
- •Improve and develop project management tools and processes.
- •Coordinate Operations and Maintenance contract handoff and ensure closeout of EPC contract.
- •Act as a project liaison with all internal departments and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- •Undergraduate Degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or equivalent preferred.
- •Minimum of 5 years professional experience in utility scale solar projects or construction project management.
- •Proficient understanding of entire solar project life cycle.
- •Ability to travel 35% on average.
- •Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail, decision making problem solving, analytical and time management skills.
- •Experience with High Voltage Interconnection aspects of a project's scope of work.
- •Ability to effectively coordinate and handle, under pressure, multiple projects with a high degree of independence and professional judgment to deliver projects and meet Company Team KPI's of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Improvement.
- •Proactive and solution-focused communication skills which extend across all organizational and management levels.
- •Exceptional ability to instill confidence as a credible, reliable and expert subject matter expert for team members in technical matters.
