Job Description
Cypress Creek Renewables is seeking Summer Associates to support their WECC Development team in managing solar and storage project development, including site selection, market analysis, and project operations over a 12-week internship.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the WECC Development team in managing solar and storage project development.
- Conduct quantitative analyses including cash flow modeling and project cost analysis.
- Perform qualitative analyses such as market conditions and regulatory analysis.
- Collaborate with utilities, municipalities, and external consultants on project development.
- Conduct due diligence on greenfield development and project acquisition opportunities.
- Prepare project sales marketing materials and internal Investment Committee memos.
- Assist with day-to-day business activities of the assigned team.
Requirements
- Current 1st year or 2nd year in dual degree program graduate student in relevant field of study such as MBA, MEM, MPP, etc.
- BA or BS degree, preferably in a relevant field such as economics, political science, public administration, urban planning, engineering, or environmental studies.
- Demonstrated interest in the energy sector, particularly solar PV and energy storage.
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
- Ability to collaborate between multiple departments with varying priorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
