Job Description
The Field Engineer at Nuro will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues in autonomous vehicles, collaborating with various teams to maintain and improve vehicle autonomy systems, and providing technical support for remote operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage field issues involving autonomous vehicles.
- Collaborate with fleet, operations, and engineering teams.
- Maintain and improve reliability of vehicle autonomy systems.
- Coordinate tools and resources for debugging and resolution.
- Prepare reports and documentation for hardware design improvements.
- Provide support for remote operation sites.
- Understand advanced fault detection and reporting schemes.
Requirements
- 3 years experience in Test planning and experimental design, especially designing for safety and repeatability.
- Experience in hands-on troubleshooting at circuit board and module system levels, including systems integrated within a CAN network.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or a related field including ME, EE, CS, Robotics, Controls, Aerospace or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with vehicle CAN protocol, or vehicle harness design.
- Understanding of autonomous driving vehicles, infrastructure, and operations.
