Job Description
The Staff Product Data Scientist at Celonis will leverage analytical and data science skills to generate data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making within product and engineering teams. This role involves building data pipelines, developing machine learning models, and facilitating discussions across the organization to optimize resources and improve product features.
Key Responsibilities
- Build data-driven insights and deliver findings to product and engineering teams
- Create visualizations and written narratives to communicate quantitative insights
- Employ statistical analysis and modeling techniques on various data types
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand business motivations and deliver data analysis
- Refine data engineering processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Define the vision and roadmap for analytics and mentor other data scientists
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a strong focus on Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Science. Master's or PhD preferred.
- 10 years relevant experience with at least 6 years as a Product Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist or similar, partnering with product, engineering or growth teams.
- Technical competence with analytical tools for data extraction, visualization and analysis including SQL, Python, and Pandas.
- Strong understanding of statistical techniques and machine learning.
- Experience working with large datasets and predictive modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working in agile teams using collaboration software like Jira or similar.
