Job Description
The Senior Data Engineer at Celonis will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support advanced data analytics and automation, enabling deep insights into business processes. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure data quality and compliance while driving process optimization and innovation.
Responsibilities
- •Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for real-time and batch data processing.
- •Build and optimize data architectures to support business process analytics, predictive modeling, and automation.
- •Collaborate with data scientists, process mining analysts, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- •Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes optimized for business process use cases.
- •Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across structured and unstructured data sources.
- •Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- •Implement best practices for data governance, ensuring compliance with data privacy and regulatory standards.
- •Document data workflows, architectures, and transformations for transparency and maintainability.
- •Integrate AI-based solutions to proactively mitigate inefficiencies and enable predictive analytics.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- •5 years of experience in data engineering, data pipelines, and big data processing.
- •Strong proficiency in Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- •Expertise in SQL for data processing and query optimization.
- •Hands-on experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their data services.
- •Familiarity with stream processing frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, Flink, or equivalent.
- •Experience with data extraction from enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce.
- •Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL frameworks, and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Snowflake.
- •Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and compliance best practices.
