Job Description
The Sales Director will lead a team of Strategic Account Executives to drive sales growth within the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries in Germany and Austria, focusing on maintaining and expanding customer relationships while achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Hire, manage and develop sales talent
- Achieve and exceed annual sales targets
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans
- Build and maintain customer and partner relationships
- Support and coach team on customer business needs
- Communicate industry-specific value propositions
Requirements
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and a proven track record of successfully managing a team.
- Highly ambitious and competitive mindset, with deep expertise in leading direct sales teams and consistently achieving targets.
- Strong personal background in sales, demonstrating success as an individual contributor.
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships at the C-suite level, preferably with an established network in the Pharma and/or Chemical industries.
- Ability to manage complex, long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working in both direct and matrix organizational structures.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with Partners, including consulting firms and enterprise technology providers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German (fluent) and English.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously, effectively managing time and priorities to achieve objectives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth environment, approaching challenges with adaptability, creativity, and a growth mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to collaboration, inclusivity, and diversity.
