Job Description
The internship at SB Energy offers law students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced renewable energy company, focusing on legal initiatives related to project acquisition, development, finance, and construction while working collaboratively with professionals in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in key legal initiatives related to renewable energy project acquisition, development, finance, and construction.
- Work on a diverse mix of assignments and a range of transactions, projects, and regulatory matters.
- Negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements, Services Agreements, and Task Orders.
- Support complex commercial and financial transactions, including checklist management and coordination with consultants and outside counsel.
- Manage and maintain document repositories for precedent tracking.
- Track, review, and analyze regulatory filings and other legal documents.
- Support targeted legal research and projects as needed.
- Assist with contract management as needed.
- Help with note taking, scheduling, and strategic planning efforts.
Requirements
- Law student pursuing a Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to work independently and be effective in a team environment.
- Ability to support multiple concurrent tasks with competing priorities.
- Ability to synthesize and organize large amounts of data.
- Ability to organize time well and set proper priorities.
- Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills required.
- Regular attendance in our Redwood City, California office.
