Job Description
The Director of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) at SB Energy will oversee the company's O&M service providers, ensuring production and equipment availability targets are met across renewable energy projects. This role requires strong leadership, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and management of contracts and operational reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for communications with O&M service providers.
- Lead and manage O&M service providers to meet contract requirements.
- Engage with procurement for O&M-related contract initiation, negotiation, and closure.
- Manage key contract management activities on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Coordinate with field operations and digital operations to ensure service levels are met.
- Manage spare parts and other assets related to O&M, including procurement and inventory.
- Oversee warranty management with service providers and OEMs.
- Assist in the development of the SBE O&M business and operations model.
- Provide performance feedback to O&M partners based on specific metrics.
- Manage vegetation management across the SBE portfolio.
- Manage the internal CMMS system for tracking equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reports for the SBE portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
- MBA is required, with specialization in Operations or Supply Chain preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in industrial environments.
- Minimum 5 years experience in utility scale solar operations required.
- 3 years of supervisory experience required.
- Knowledge of the energy and renewable energy market, and the ability to stay current with changing technologies, regulations, and industry trends.
- Technical knowledge of general plant and system processes, electrical and SCADA systems.
- Experience with PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC MV systems, network communications and monitoring.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities.
- Excellent learning skills with aptitude to independently research, understand, and implement knowledge in new areas.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire people to take action through their influence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other applications for productivity.
- Ability to travel, as required.

Compensation/salary range: $160,000 - $180,000
