Job Description
The Senior Project Manager at SB Energy is responsible for overseeing the execution of utility-scale solar photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage System projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while managing various stakeholders and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee BESS and PV projects from Limited Notice to Proceed to Final Acceptance.
- Manage turn-key EPC contracts for PV, BESS, or PV BESS projects.
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure project success.
- Maintain project budget and cash flow.
- Maintain project schedule and provide updates to leadership.
- Interface with landowners and utilities to meet agreement conditions.
- Engage with permitting authorities to support permit issuance.
- Schedule and coordinate project commissioning and close-out activities.
- Support financial milestones with project independent engineer.
- Manage project risks and scope changes.
- Directly manage project coordinators and delegate tasks.
- Ensure satisfactory on-site supervision and execution of EPC contracts.
- Assist in contracting for project execution and maintain compliance.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience managing utility-scale PV, BESS, and PV BESS projects.
- Experience performing the above duties and responsibilities for utility-scale PV and BESS projects in the California market.
- Ability to travel 25-50% of the time, as needed.
- Expertise in MS Office Suite, MS Project, P6, Monday.com and other project management tools.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
