Job Description
The role involves designing, building, and delivering the next generation of ArcGIS Enterprise software, focusing on translating customer needs into technical requirements and ensuring software quality through testing and collaboration with product engineers.
Responsibilities
- •Translate customer needs into technical requirements for ArcGIS Enterprise software releases
- •Collaborate with product and development engineers on new software releases
- •Provide input during the design phase for server backend and UI development
- •Develop and implement test plans and test cases, and verify code changes
- •Review and analyze automated test results and certify software quality
- •Troubleshoot and triage customer issues
- •Share workflows through help topics, blog articles, presentations, and tutorials
- •Advocate for the user in product design and delivery
Requirements
- •2 years of industry experience in software testing or software development
- •Experience developing and implementing test plans and test automation for web services
- •Fundamental understanding of APIs and API design principles
- •Fundamental understanding of web services including REST and SOAP
- •Experience working with Python, Java, or other scripting languages
- •Experience with test frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or Ready API
- •Experience translating customer needs into technical requirements for the team
- •Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- •Proven ability to build and deliver quality software in a team environment
- •Effective time management and organizational skills
- •Bachelor's in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, math, or related field
