Job Description
The job involves developing and optimizing a cutting-edge desktop application for data analysis using C programming. The software engineer will collaborate with a team to enhance performance, fix bugs, and implement algorithms for intelligence professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize existing and new C code to reduce memory consumption and increase performance and scalability
- Collaborate with other software development teams in an agile environment
- Identify, analyze, and resolve bugs and performance issues
- Develop spatial, temporal, and relational algorithms with the research team
Requirements
- 2 years of experience building commercial software in C
- Experience with C 11, 14, 17, 20 and associated technologies such as STL and Boost
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming patterns and parallel processing methods
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, databases, and computer networks concepts
- Object-oriented design skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with a diverse array of developers, product engineers, and other team members
- US citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI access
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field
