Job Description
The job involves leading a commercial account team at Esri to promote and sell geospatial technology, mentoring team members, and developing strategies to enhance customer adoption of Esri products. The role requires building relationships with large organizations, understanding customer needs, and executing the sales cycle to achieve sector goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the sales activities of the team throughout the account management process.
- Mentor the team through coaching, direction, and feedback.
- Develop and implement location strategies for large organizations.
- Identify key stakeholders and access executive decision makers.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of ArcGIS and its value propositions.
- Execute the sales cycle to close new opportunities.
- Develop creative solutions to help customers achieve their goals.
Requirements
- 8 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- 3 years of experience mentoring, motivating, and coaching on a team.
- Ability to build compelling account growth strategies.
- Advanced knowledge of the commercial industry and new technology trends, and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers.
- Deep understanding of GIS and Esri technology.
- Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization.
- Knowledge of the fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
