Job Description

The Structural Civil Mechanical Engineer at Zeeco is responsible for designing mechanical equipment such as piping assemblies, pressure vessels, and steel stacks for both permanent and temporary installations, collaborating with teams to ensure manufacturability, compliance with standards, and supporting global projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design and check structural calculations for mechanical equipment such as piping assemblies, pressure vessels, and steel stacks.
Provide technical support and responses for structural-related items within an engineering team.
Communicate with project teams to ensure designs use readily available materials and are easy to fabricate.
Assist applications engineers with structural topics for ongoing quotes.
Prepare and report structural design packages clearly and efficiently.
Act as a technical liaison with US and global colleagues.
Present technical information on structural subjects to colleagues.
Work on designs for both permanent installations and temporary, mobile equipment including trailers and skid-mounted structures.
Utilize first principles to resolve engineering challenges and identify areas for process improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years experience in Structural Design or an equivalent design role.
Excellent organizational skills.
Aptitude to interpret specifications.
Fluent in Microsoft Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Professional Engineering License or willingness to obtain one.
