Job Description
The Structural Civil Mechanical Engineer at Zeeco is responsible for designing combustion equipment components such as pressure vessels, stacks, and piping, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and optimizing structural designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design combustion equipment components such as pressure vessels, stacks, piping, and structural elements.
- Review project specifications to determine applicable design codes and requirements.
- Calculate and prepare design reports for customer approval.
- Estimate steel thickness and weights for structural components.
- Optimize structural designs for efficiency and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Civil, Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Structural Design
- Ability to perform structural and mechanical design of vessels, stacks, piping, and various structural elements
- Ability to review project specifications to determine applicable design codes and project requirements
- Experience in calculation and organization of design reports for submission to customers for approval
- Experience in estimation of steel thickness and weights
- Ability to optimize structural designs
- Excellent organizational skills
- Aptitude to interpret specifications
