Job Description
The Senior Project Engineer at Zeeco is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects, including equipment selection, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with drafting, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure timely delivery of quality products while maintaining cost controls and effective communication with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review shop order files and confirm scope of supply based on customer specifications and sales quotations
- Confirm equipment selection and design, perform calculations and sketches to establish equipment design
- Coordinate drafting activities and ensure completion of all required drawings
- Establish and track project cost budgets in collaboration with sales and cost specialists
- Maintain delivery schedules based on customer requirements and company workloads
- Pre-order materials to meet delivery deadlines
- Inform Quality Control of customer job specifications
- Handle technical and commercial correspondence with customers, end users, sales reps, and outside consultants
- Instruct drafting and support staff on drawings to be sent to involved parties
- Notify sales, estimating, and order entry departments of scope or design changes affecting pricing and documentation
- Coordinate price revisions and communicate with customers regarding cost adjustments
- Notify accounting when billings are to be sent
Requirements
- A B.S. degree in Construction Technology, Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field, and/or 6-10 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have personal computer skills.
