Job Description
A Senior Financial Analyst at Zeeco is responsible for analyzing complex financial data, developing reports, improving global financial processes, and supporting international entities and executive management, with a focus on accounting, financial analysis, and process optimization in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial data and evaluate the financial performance of international entities.
- Develop, document, and improve global financial processes and reporting capabilities.
- Assist international entities with annual budgeting and ensure timely completion.
- Prepare consolidated schedules for international entities for annual audits.
- Reconcile intercompany account balances and oversee the reconciliation process.
- Support global locations with financial analysis, reporting, and training on processes.
- Review and assist with percentage-of-completion calculations and analyze project results.
- Function as a liaison between headquarters and international entities from an analytical and accounting perspective.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
- Four years of public accounting, consulting, or project management experience is required.
- Expert Excel skills are mandatory and may need to be demonstrated upon request.
- Strong analytical skill set for researching variances or errors with the confidence to defend a position with logical reasoning.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including frequent communication with international and operational personnel.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects.
- Focus on delivering superior work in terms of quality, presentation, and accuracy.
- Results-driven with a commitment to ownership and a strong initiative to follow-through.
- Reconcile intercompany account balances with international entities and direct reconciliation process between international entities.
- Assist international entities with the preparation of their annual budget and ensure completion within given deadlines.
- Analyze and evaluate the financial performance of international entities by reviewing their Financial Statements, Actual vs. Budget reports, and other supplemental statements while meeting the month-end close reporting deadlines.
- Review and assist international entities with monthly percentage-of-completion POC calculations and seek explanations for unusual current-month results on individual projects.
- Prepare consolidated schedules for international entities for the annual audit.
- Document processes and provide training to Global locations.
- Develop global processes and evaluate current processes for efficiencies and improvements along with tracking the timing of adoption.
- Develop additional reporting capabilities within current systems.
- Function as a liaison between Zeeco Global Headquarters and Zeeco international entities from an analytical and accounting perspective, primarily via e-mail, telephone, and video conference.
- Overseas travel required.
- Working knowledge of all applicable US GAAP requirements and understanding of IFRS.
- Experience with large project manufacturing accounting with percentage of completion is a plus.
