Job Description
This role involves managing the mechanical design and project execution of process heaters, leading cross-functional teams, overseeing resources across multiple locations, and ensuring project delivery while maintaining customer relationships and optimizing procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage process heater mechanical design and project execution resources
- Develop and maintain relationships with business unit managers, directors, and key customers
- Supervise resources across multiple offices and oversee personnel training and development
- Recruit additional personnel to support business growth
- Negotiate equipment procurement to optimize costs and terms
- Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations reviewing Zeeco products
- Coordinate equipment selection, design, calculations, and sketches
- Ensure completion of all required drawings and review customer mark-ups
- Maintain project delivery schedules in coordination with drafting, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality control
- Review and advise on commercial change proposals related to project scope, price, and schedule
- Lead cross-functional project teams to meet commitments and ensure accountability
- Monitor and report on project progress and financial status to executive management
- Participate in customer and vendor negotiations
- Coordinate process improvements internally and externally
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field
- 7-10 years of related experience in engineering or project execution
- Previous supervisor experience is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have personal computer skills
- Some travel required, approximately 25%
