Job Description

The Instrument and Controls Engineer - Vapor is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for combustion and environmental solutions, supporting industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, and power generation. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems for vapor combustion and environmental solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate control systems into overall project designs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards in control system design and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instrument and controls engineering, specifically in designing, engineering, or supporting control systems for combustion, incinerators, or environmental control systems.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing control system architectures, including instrumentation and control panels.
  • Experience with control system programming, configuration, and troubleshooting using industry-standard software and hardware platforms.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to instrumentation and controls in oil and gas, petrochemical, or power generation industries.
  • Ability to interpret and develop control system documentation, including control logic, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and practices related to instrumentation and controls in hazardous environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex control system issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support project execution.
  • Physical ability to work in an industrial environment, including the ability to access control panels, perform inspections, and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
