Job Description
The Industrial Painter at Zeeco is responsible for applying coatings to surfaces according to specifications, ensuring proper surface preparation, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply coatings to prepared surfaces according to specifications
- Gather surface preparation specifications for projects
- Communicate with internal and external customers, including engineers, Quality Control, and vendors
- Fill out paint reports and procedures for surface preparation
- Work safely around shop equipment and maintain safety precautions
- Operate industrial painting equipment, with a preference for inorganic zinc coatings
Requirements
- Experience with industrial painting.
- Ability to apply coatings to prepared surfaces according to Shop and or Customer Specifications.
- Experience with surface preparation specifications for projects.
- Experience filling out paint reports and procedures for surface preparation specifications.
- Ability to safely work around the shop area with little direction while maintaining precautions of passing forklifts, trucks, etc.
- Ability to wear a Full-face Respirator for long periods of time.
- Must possess sufficient interpersonal skills to effectively interact with persons inside and outside the Company.
- Must be able to work under stress and handle multiple priorities.
- Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements.
- Must be able to work under deadlines and meet them.
- Must be able to maintain and process job-related paperwork effectively.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
- Must be able to go up and down stairs.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to walk long distances in possible harsh weather conditions to the office, taking caution from hazards that come with a manufacturing facility.
- Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
- Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in Company duties.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
