Job Description
The Crater role involves fabricating wooden crates or boxes using hand and powered tools, packing various items, and loading/unloading trucks with equipment like cranes and forklifts, supporting the shipping and logistics operations within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate wooden crates or boxes using woodworking tools
- Pack items, including large and odd-shaped products
- Read blueprints and shipping notices to determine container specifications
- Inspect products to select appropriate container size, materials, supports, and braces
- Load and unload trucks using overhead crane, forklift, and pallet jack
Requirements
- Ability to fabricate wooden crates or boxes using woodworking hand tools and powered tools.
- Experience in packing various items, including large and/or odd-shaped products.
- Ability to read blueprints, shipping notices, and other specifications to determine container size, shape, materials, supports, and braces.
- Experience in inspecting products to determine appropriate container specifications.
- Responsibility for loading and unloading trucks using overhead crane, forklift, and/or pallet jack.
