Job Description
A Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, end-to-end data platforms that handle high-volume, high-velocity data for analytics, machine learning, and AI systems, primarily in a media industry project. The role involves developing data pipelines, managing multiple data stores, ensuring data quality and observability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data-driven products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and evolve a scalable, end-to-end data platform balancing batch, streaming, and lake warehouse architectures.
- Design and operate high-performance pipelines for diverse data sources with real-time signal detection and failure recovery.
- Manage data flows across heterogeneous systems, ensuring data consistency and lineage.
- Develop data models optimized for AI workflows, ML training, and complex analytical queries.
- Implement data quality checks, anomaly detection, and full-stack observability to ensure trust in AI applications.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer or Data Infrastructure Engineer working on production systems.
- Proven ability to design, build, and operate distributed data pipelines at scale.
- Hands-on experience with both batch and streaming data processing.
- Experience working across multiple data stores including relational databases, graph databases (such as AWS Neptune), vector stores, and search indexes.
- Solid experience with AWS and data-relevant AWS services.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, evolving platform environments.
- Strong collaboration skills with Product, Data Science, and AI Engineering teams.
