Job Description

The Sales Development Representative at Xpansiv is responsible for initiating and developing new business opportunities across various product lines in the energy and environmental commodities market, supporting the company's efforts to accelerate the global energy transition through customer engagement and pipeline creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and develop new business opportunities across all product lines
  • Engage with potential customers early in the sales process to build pipeline
  • Work across markets, registries, data solutions, power services, and environmental instruments to identify prospects

Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is preferred.
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in sales, business development, or a related role.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to initiate and develop new business opportunities.
  • Be curious, motivated, and interested in the clean energy transition and the technologies that support it.
  • Have excellent communication skills to engage with early-stage customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Be able to work across multiple product lines including markets, registries, data solutions, power services, and emerging environmental instruments.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple prospects simultaneously.
  • Be willing to participate in a structured interview process including resume screening, interview with the hiring manager, and meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Be able to operate within the geographic compensation range of $65,000 to $70,000 in New York, considering relevant skills, experience, knowledge, education, and training.
