Job Description
The role involves supporting wholesale power market operations across multiple regions by facilitating electricity transactions, monitoring system and client portfolios, providing real-time support, and ensuring compliance with market deadlines and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support real-time wholesale power market operations across multiple regions and resource types.
- Monitor client portfolios and ensure valid submissions before market deadlines.
- Communicate with clients via phone and email to facilitate information flow and transaction processing.
- Assist with internal system testing and maintenance of operational procedures.
- Provide helpdesk support for MarketSuite, system infrastructure, and market knowledge.
- Escalate and address system emergencies in accordance with operating procedures.
- Conduct research and documentation of market changes and internal product testing.
- Generate daily reports on market and client activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or technical field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to react to quickly changing priorities and strict deadlines
- Strong analytic skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shift work, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Support all clients including, but not limited to, Resource Management Dispatch, Outage, 24/7 Agent, Transaction Management, Day-Ahead Real-Time Scheduling
- Monitor all serviced client portfolios and ensure valid submissions prior to Market Deadlines
- Escalate and address all System Emergencies in-line with Operating Procedures
- Assist with internal system testing
- Maintenance and Development of Operational Documentation
- Daily reporting on market and client activities
- Experience with NERC E-Tag Monitoring and Adjustments
- Knowledge of using ISO systems for outage reporting, scheduling, and dispatching
- Working knowledge of SCADA Systems
- Prior Control Center Experience
- Experience with testing Software or reporting software issues
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Proven ability to react calmly under tight deadlines
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft OS and Office Suite, SharePoint Collaboration
Benefits & Perks
Compensation in California expected to be between $60,000 and $75,000
Work schedule includes rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
