Job Description
The role involves leading sales and business development efforts for Xpansiv's power solutions within North American wholesale power markets, leveraging industry networks to drive adoption of their market platform, and generating recurring revenue through strategic client engagement and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage existing professional network to close SaaS services opportunities in wholesale power markets.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to increase global adoption of Xpansiv's infrastructure.
- Originate leads and engage with key decision makers and influencers in the energy market.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with market participants and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline to surpass sales targets and generate recurring revenue.
Requirements
- Proven capacity to originate leads, engage with key decision makers and influencers, build trusted relationships, develop a strong pipeline, surpass sales targets, and generate net-new recurring revenue.
- Experience leveraging an existing, strong professional network to close SaaS services opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business development strategies that increase global adoption of market infrastructure.
- Senior-level experience as an individual contributor in sales or business development roles within the energy or environmental commodities markets.
- Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers in North American wholesale power markets.
- Experience with the Xpansiv APX MarketSuite transaction platform or similar market platforms, including dynamic scheduling and settlement capabilities, asset telemetry, remote monitoring, and 24/7 desk support, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of US wholesale power markets, including grid-scale storage, renewables, fossil generators, and load resources participation.
- Educational background or equivalent experience relevant to energy markets, technology, or related fields (specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated but implied by senior-level role).
- Ability to work in a senior-level role with potential for future people management responsibilities.

Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $155,000 - $175,000 in New York, with variation based on region and experience
Commission plan in addition to base salary
