Job Description
An entry-level Field Service Technician responsible for operating and maintaining water and wastewater systems, including remote pump stations, valves, piping, and meters, with opportunities for career growth in the utility field.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain wastewater collection and water distribution systems, including remote pump stations, valves, piping, lift stations, and water meters.
- Respond to emergency events and alarm call-outs as scheduled and when required.
- Work outdoors and support seasonal demands, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with water treatment standards using up-to-date technology and digital platforms.
Requirements
- Responsibility for the operation and maintenance of wastewater collection and water distribution systems with remote pump station equipment, valves, piping, lift stations, and water meters.
- Availability to work a schedule of either Monday to Thursday, 7am to 5:30pm, or Tuesday to Friday, 7am to 5:30pm, with flexibility and extended shifts to meet seasonal demands.
- Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
- Availability for standby duty and the ability to be on-call, working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Response to emergency events and alarm call-outs required as scheduled and when required.
