Job Description
Assist in the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities and distribution systems, primarily in Maple Shade, NJ, including participating in an on-call rotation and ensuring compliance with operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants and collection/distribution systems.
- Assist in ensuring treatment plants operate efficiently and remain in full compliance with regulations.
- Respond to alarm call outs and provide shift coverage during scheduled hours and on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of Maple Shade, NJ's Water and/or Wastewater Utility, including Treatment Plants and Collection and Distribution Systems, as directed by Woodard Curran's management.
- Work a scheduled day shift and participate in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays, and outside normal shift hours for alarm call outs and possible shift coverage.
- Possess the necessary certifications required for water and wastewater treatment operations, with support and promotion from the company to earn, upgrade, and maintain industry certifications.
- Pay union dues if applicable, as this is a union position.
- Have the ability to perform operational tasks related to water and wastewater treatment and distribution systems.
- Meet physical demands associated with operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment facilities, including possible lifting, standing, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (implied, as industry certifications and operational participation are required; specific educational requirements are not explicitly stated but are typically necessary).
