Job Description
The Water Wastewater Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of multiple water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance and efficient plant performance, with opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Assist in ensuring treatment plants operate efficiently and remain in full compliance
- Support the operation of treatment processes as directed by supervisors
- Respond to on-call duties and call-outs as part of a rotation
Requirements
- Possession of dual certifications as a Water and Wastewater Operator.
- Participation in the daily operations and maintenance of 5 Water Treatment Facilities and 2 Wastewater Treatment Facilities as directed by the Project Manager and Chief Operator.
- Willingness to work outdoors protecting water resources.
- Availability to be on-call on a rotation schedule, with compensation of 200 dollars for the week on call and a minimum of 2 hours paid for each call out received.
- Ability to earn, upgrade, and maintain industry licenses and certifications, with employer reimbursement for related expenses.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment facilities (implied by job duties).
- Compliance with safety standards and participation in safety programs (implied by annual safety bonuses).
