Job Description
The Water Treatment Plant Manager oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and management of a water treatment facility, ensuring compliance, system optimization, and effective communication with staff and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of the water treatment facility and distribution system
- Oversee remote communications network and SCADA system operations
- Implement and manage predictive maintenance programs
- Administer and execute routine and capital repair and replacement projects
- Respond to emergencies such as process upsets, equipment failures, and alarm events
- Provide operations and compliance reports to regulatory agencies and municipalities
- Coordinate with staff, client representatives, contractors, and engineering firms to ensure effective system operation and optimization
- Perform hands-on operational work and produce required reports
- Oversee the daily operation of the utility system
Requirements
- The candidate must have experience in the day-to-day operations and management of a water treatment facility and distribution system.
- The candidate must have experience in the day-to-day operations and management of a remote communications network and assigned SCADA network.
- The candidate must have experience in the implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program.
- The candidate must have experience in the administration and implementation of all routine and capital repair and replacement projects.
- The candidate must be capable of emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events, etc.
- The candidate must be able to provide requested operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and municipality.
- The candidate must have the ability to perform hands-on work related to water treatment plant operations.
- The candidate must be able to produce all required reports related to plant operations.
- The candidate must have experience in coordinating and communicating with staff, client representatives, contractors, and engineering firms to ensure effective system operation and optimization.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 25 years of experience in water treatment plant operations, management, or related fields (implied by the company's history and scope).
