Job Description

The Water Treatment Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of water treatment plants, ensuring compliance and efficient performance, while working outdoors and responding to emergency events, with opportunities for career advancement and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of three water treatment plants.
  • Respond to emergency events and alarm call-outs as scheduled and required.
  • Be available for standby duty and on-call rotations, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Operate and monitor water treatment processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and implementing solutions to maintain plant efficiency.

Requirements

  • Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of three water treatment plants as directed by the Project Manager and Chief Operator.
  • Availability to work on a schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with flexibility and extended shifts to meet seasonal demands of the water system.
  • Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • Availability for standby duty and the ability to be on-call, working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Respond to emergency events and alarm call-outs as scheduled and required.
  • On-call duty with incentives of 200 dollars for the week on call, on a rotation basis.
  • Compensation for being on call includes a minimum of 2 hours paid for each call-out received.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (implied, as no specific education requirement is explicitly stated but is generally expected for operational roles).
  • Ability to work outdoors and protect water resources, demonstrating physical capability to perform outdoor work.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance with operational procedures.
